Montserrat

Montserrat is a 1236 m high mountain and nature reserve located about 50 km from Barcelona. At the mountain is the monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat.

This is where pilgrims and visitors from around the world to among other things, behold the black Madonna of Montserrat’s Basilica and enjoy the beautiful nature, hiking, climbing. There is something for everyone. The reserve has among others a very famous museum and library, many restaurants and small shops.
