Bridget Sisters
The Hermitage of the Bridegettine nuns of the Most Holy Saviour. The convent is currently run by Bridgettine nuns, but Camaldoli has actually been inhabited by monks since the 5th century. The convent is situated 450 metres above sea levl and from there one has a breathtaking view over the city of Naples and far away on the horizon can be seen the island of Capri.
Accomodation is available either in small houses each with own shower and WC, or in rooms in the main building where many of the rooms even have a view over the Bay of Naples.
There are ample opportunities for conferences and workshops . There is a small library.
In the church the nuns assist at the daily liturgy and sing the Office of the day.
The surroundings are superb for trips to Vesuvius, Pompeii, Capri and the beautiful Amalfi coastline.
