St. Oropa

This gigantic guesthouse, which was once a convent, is located amidst the emerald green lawns and towering alpine peaks. There are more than 300 rooms, all furnished with antiques. Here you can choose to stay very affordable and easy in the hostel's building or very extravagant in any of the larger rooms with elegant period furnishings, original prints and paintings and a beautiful bathroom.

Oropa is a perfect base from which to hike (around their is a nature reserve) or for those who want to go mountain biking, climbing and like to go skiing, both downhill and cross country. There are also 13 restaurants of various price ranges. Here you can enjoy the beautiful settings al year round.
